Drone Roof Inspection

A drone will be used to inspect the roof and other elements at height where applicable and safe to launch.

Use of an aerial drone is a great way to get up close to those parts of the property that are typically inaccessible.

A trained pilot insured and registered with the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will assess the condition of exterior elements where hidden defects can be serious and costly to repair.

The video link shows how vegetation and plant roots had grown through the flat roof covering

Examples of external roof elements and defects that may be inspected more closely using a drone include:

  • Cracked or missing tiles
  • Blocked gutters
  • Chimney stacks (notorious for leaks!)
  • Flashing and weatherproof sealing
  • Valley gutters
  • Attic windows
  • Dormer roofs and sides
  • Flat roofs (vulnerable & often ignored )
  • Parapet walls
